The extension reads live captions from your meetings to detect conversation patterns and displays contextual coaching prompts to help you navigate sales conversations more effectively.---## Information We Collect### Information Processed LocallyThe following information is processed entirely within your browser and never leaves your device:- Caption Text: Live captions from your Google Meet calls are analyzed in real-time to detect conversation patterns. This text is processed locally in your browser's memory and is not stored permanently or transmitted to any external servers.- Conversation Context: A rolling buffer of recent caption text (approximately 500 characters) is temporarily held in memory to enable pattern detection. This buffer is cleared when you leave the meeting or close the tab.### Information Stored LocallyThe following information is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API:- User Preferences: Your settings including on/off state, cooldown duration preferences, and display options.- Feedback Data: When you provide feedback on coaching prompts (thumbs up/down), we store this feedback locally along with contextual information to help improve our pattern detection. This includes:
- The pattern that triggered the prompt
- Whether you found the prompt helpful
- Timestamp of the feedback
- The general context category (e.g., "pricing discussion," "competitor mention")- Usage Statistics: Aggregate counts of prompts displayed and patterns detected during your sessions, stored locally for your reference.### Information Transmitted to Our Servers- Pattern Library Requests: When the extension loads, it fetches the current pattern library from our secure servers. This request contains no personal information—only a request for the latest coaching patterns. The connection is made over HTTPS to ensure security.We do not transmit:
- Your conversation content
- Caption text or transcripts
- Personal information
- Meeting participant information
- Audio or video data---## How We Use Information### Local Processing- Real-Time Coaching: Caption text is analyzed locally to identify conversation patterns and display relevant coaching prompts.- Personalization: Your stored preferences customize the extension's behavior to match your workflow.- Improvement: Feedback you provide helps us understand which patterns and prompts are most valuable, informing future updates to our pattern library.### Server Communication- Pattern Delivery: We fetch updated coaching patterns from our servers to ensure you have access to the latest sales coaching insights. - Disable Extension: Toggle the extension off at any time without uninstalling
- Clear Data: Remove all stored data by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension data
- Adjust Cooldowns: Control how frequently coaching prompts appear### Opt-OutYou can stop using SidePrompt at any time by:1. Clicking the extension icon and toggling it off, or
2. Right-clicking the extension icon and selecting "Remove from Chrome"Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.---## Third-Party Services### Google MeetSidePrompt operates within Google Meet pages to read live captions. We do not have any partnership or data-sharing agreement with Google. We simply read the caption text that Google Meet displays on your screen.### Cloud InfrastructureOur pattern library is hosted on Google Cloud Platform. When you fetch patterns:- No personal data is transmitted
- Standard web request logging may occur on our servers (IP addresses, timestamps)
- We do not correlate this data with individual users---## Children's PrivacySidePrompt is designed for business professionals and is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
